stewardshipAntioch Church of the Brethren is sponsoring a stewardship program for families that will be held on October 24, 2009 from 4:00PM – 8:45PM. The event will be held at The Red Barn, which is located at 5685 Bethany Road, on Bethlehem Road, between Boones Mill, VA and Callaway, VA (directions from the church shown below).

There will be all kinds of fun activities for the kids in addition to classes on stewardship targeting young married couples and children. See Del Fletcher for details.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

I Timothy 6:17-18

Annual Harvest Festival – October 31, 2009

pumpkinWe’ll have our annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 31 from 5:30-7:30. The theme this year is “Let Your Light Shine for Jesus.” This party is a Christian alternative for Halloween, so although we encourage kids to wear costumes, please keep them church-appropriate.

We want to offer our children both a physically and spiritually safe place so that they can celebrate Halloween at church instead of going trick-or-treating – doing both would essentially defeat the purpose.

If you have any question, you can contact me. Thanks!

Valerie
