We will be celebrating Veterans Day. All veterans are asked to wear their uniforms, or at least those parts of it that still fit, to the morning service. While we do not glorify war, we do support our brave men and women who serve and keep us safe.

“Is the Spirit in this Camp?” – October 11, 2009
By Pastor Ronald Coleman
Scripture: Jude 14-25
Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones
to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.
A Call to Persevere
But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.
They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.”
These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Be merciful to those who doubt;
snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear–hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
Doxology
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy–
to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Any crafts, products, food, etc. that you would like to donate to help raise funds for the church will be greatly appreciated! Here is more information from the county’s website – http://www.franklincountyva.gov/resources/other-county-agencies
Fall in Franklin County brings a change in the color of the leaves, cooler nights, and the yearly ‘Lord’s Acre Sale’. Beginning in 1964 with just a handful of participants, the event now has nearly fifty churches of all denominations joining in the celebration. Currently held in the High School parking lot on the third Saturday in October, the ‘Lord’s Acre Sale’ offers congregations a chance to raise money for building projects, educational opportunities, missionary work, or other important church needs. After a year of planning and work, church members sell apple butter, quilts, crafts, woodworking projects, and other products produced by their talents.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
